We at ChocoLoco have chosen to associate ourselves with a number of small businesses that share our passion for chocolate. They use quality products and minimally process the cocoa beans with care to maintain the true essence of it.

Currently we have three providers and are always on the lookout to partner with more.

Grounded Pleasures

For our cocoa powder we have partnered with Grounded Pleasures which is a family-owned business located in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia – with stockists both across Australia and internationally.

We are using the following from their line of products:

Chilli Infused Drinking Chocolate (out of stock): It is influenced by a traditional Mexican drink. A blend of fine original cocoa with a hint of dried chilli. It is gluten free, dairy free, 100% natural and dissolves instantly with no clumping.

Noir Drinking Chocolate: It is for people who desire an intense cocoa experience. A smooth, complex and nuanced without bitterness. It is gluten free, dairy free, 100% natural and dissolves instantly with no clumping.

Cinnamon Spice Drinking Chocolate: It is made in a northern European style. A blend of fine original cocoa with freshly cold ground cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and cardamom. It is gluten free, dairy free, 100% natural and dissolves instantly with no clumping.

Real White Drinking Chocolate: An Australian first, it is a fine powdered white chocolate bar. As per the producer, this is the only drinking chocolate to uniquely contain 20% Ghanian real cocoa butter and ethically sourced Papua Guinean vanilla, which is what gives this white chocolate its flavour and amazing texture. It is gluten free, GMO free and 100% natural.

Sicilian Orange Drinking Chocolate (out of stock): It is a delightful classic chocolate-orange pairing. A blend of fine original cocoa with just a hint of sublime, naturally extracted Sicilian orange oil. These work in concert to lift the taste to a higher level in harmony and freshness. It is gluten free, dairy free, 100% natural and dissolves instantly with no clumping.

Original Drinking Chocolate: Also called (African Red), it is one of the most pure and sumptuous chocolate experiences you can find. Sourced from the best cocoa growing regions, it exhibits all the hallmarks of superb Forester cocoa beans and a hit of Trinatario cocoa beans, with delightfully high fruity notes. It is gluten free, dairy free, 100% natural and dissolves instantly with no clumping.

Monsieur Truffe

Another partner of ours, Monsieur Truffe had a humble beginning back in 2006 when it was a one-man operation in Prahran market only to grow and include stockists all over Australia in addition to a selection of online stores.

They have a vast variety of products all of which use organic ingredients and are wrapped in environmentally friendly packaging. We use the following from their line:

Milk 37% Caramel & Almond: It is made from 37% milk chocolate complimented by premium quality almonds and caramel. It is organic and gluten free.

Milk 51% Honeycomb: It is made from 51% milk chocolate complimented by premium quality honeycomb and house-made ingredients. It is organic and gluten free.

Milk 51% Roasted Hazelnut : It is made from 51% milk chocolate complimented by premium quality roasted hazelnuts and house-made ingredients. It is organic and gluten free.

Dark 65% Rum & Raisin (out of stock): It is a limited edition chocolate bar made from 65% dark chocolate with Rum soaked raisins. It is organic, vegan and gluten free.

Dark 66% Tasman Sea Salt: It is made from 66% dark chocolate complimented by Tasman Sea salt. It is organic, vegan and gluten free.

Dark 70% Caramel & Almond (out of stock): It is made from 70% dark chocolate complimented by premium quality almonds and caramel. It is organic, vegan and gluten free.

Dark 70% Caramel & Hazelnut (out of stock): It is made from 70% dark chocolate complimented by premium quality hazelnuts and caramel. It is organic, vegan and gluten free.

Dark 72% Salt Roast Pistachios (out of stock): It is made from 72% dark chocolate complimented by premium quality salt roasted pistachios. It is organic, vegan and gluten free.

Vegan 28% White (out of stock): From the ‘Bean to Bar’ collection, this is the vegan white bar using coconut milk and coconut sugar. It is obviously vegan, organic and gluten free.

Hazelnut Chocolate Spread: A ‘Bean to Bar’ product, this spread uses hazelnuts from Piedmonte combined with raw cocoa beans to make a rich and velvety chocolate paste. It is vegan, organic and gluten free.

Zokoko Artisan Chocolate

Another partner of ours who is a premium artisan chocolate maker specializing in single–origin dark chocolate. It is one of only a handful of companies in Australia to work directly with growers to import the finest quality cocoa beans and use vintage, artisan equipment and traditional methods to roast, mix and mold the chocolate in small batches, creating truly unique chocolate bars. We use the following from their line:

Zokoko Bar Dark Goddess (out of stock): This blend is intense and full of flavor with both deep cocoa and dark fruit top notes.

Zokoko Bar Dark Orange Goddess (out of stock):: This single origin dark chocolate made from beans sourced directly from the Solomon Islands displays rich fruity cocoa notes with added tangy Citrus reminiscent of an orange orchard.

Zokoko Bar Milk Goddess: This Milk Chocolate posses a luxurious, velvety mouthfeel with cocoa flavor balanced by a gentle fruit finish.

Zokoko Bar Milk Coffee Goddess: This smooth and velvety milk chocolate is balanced with the rich flavor of freshly roasted coffee.

Federation Artisan Chocolate

Another partner of ours is a locally owned family business on the Tasman Peninsula. Maurice and Helen Curtis the owners, have a passion for chocolate that goes beyond just flavour as they believe the best chocolate will change the world. They are not just chocolatier but chocolate makers and lovers. Therefore, you can be sure that their chocolates are handmade with love.

We have chosen the following from their collection:

Caramel Nougat Milk Chocolate (out of stock): It is made with real Australian almond nougat pieces throughout the chocolate, caramel sauce and blended milk chocolate base. It is a chewy caramel delight.

Coffee Almond Milk Chocolate (out of stock): Made by hand at the Federation Chocolate factory using Australian ingredients. If you love coffee and you love milk chocolate with crunchy Australian almonds, then this the chocolate you will LOVE.

Coffee Liqueur in Milk Chocolate: Milk chocolate blended with coffee Liqueur, it melts in your mouth releasing the flavour of coffee liqueur and chocolate at the same time.

Hazelnut in Milk Chocolate (out of stock): Toasting the hazelnuts to perfection just before adding to the Milk Chocolate is the key to a full hazelnut flavour. Using the best hazelnuts and chocolate creates this nutty classic.

Honeycomb in Milk Chocolate: This chocolate is made to please if you love honeycomb. Delicious honey flavoured crunchy pieces of real honeycomb are folded into milk chocolate to create one of all-time favourites for many chocolate lovers.

Roasted Cashew in Milk Chocolate (out of stock): First, the cashews are roasted to perfection, crushed slightly then folded into milk chocolate. Cashews create an added creaminess to the chocolate and that lovely nutty undertone.

White Delight: For vanilla lovers, each bite of this chocolate is sure to satisfy your pallets and give you a taste of real vanilla. It is made with the finest ingredients.

Chilli Cinnamon Dark (out of stock): Made with a minimum of 56% cocoa and just the right amount of cocoa butter to give you that creamy texture, this is high quality dark, sugar free chocolate blended with chili and cinnamon. With a smooth, velvety texture which is rich and satisfying, this dark chocolate starts with an undertone of cinnamon as the chocolate melts on the tongue. Then you will sense a touch of spice at the back of the pallet as the chili comes through which will leave you with a heated glow. It is dairy, lactose, milk protein free and suitable for a vegan diet.

Origin Australia Dark 70% : This single origin uniquely exquisite chocolate is made from cacao that is grown in Far North Queensland, Australia. A rich dark chocolate with notes of ripe berry which dances across the pallet as it melts leaving you with the creamy texture of high-grade cocoa butter enriched with a premium chocolate flavour. Made from Australian grown cacao and sugar cane. It is gluten and dairy free.

PNG Tas Walnut 74% Dark (out of stock): The amazing single origin chocolate from the cacao fields of Papua New Guinea. The beans are dried over open fires giving the chocolate a touch of smoke and lingering to a creamy rich chocolate base. It is dark, rich and with the addition of Tasmanian Walnuts. It is gluten and dairy free as well as vegan friendly.

PNG Tas SeaSalt 74% Dark: The amazing single origin chocolate from the cacao fields of Papua New Guinea. The beans are dried over open fires giving the chocolate a touch of smoke and lingering to a creamy rich chocolate base. It is dark, rich and with the flavour enhancing addition of Tasman Sea salt, a world renowned salt harvested from the pristine waters off the east coast of Tasmania.

PNG Dark Hazelnut 74% Dark (out of stock): The amazing single origin chocolate from the cacao fields of Papua New Guinea. The beans are dried over open fires giving the chocolate a touch of smoke and lingering to a creamy rich chocolate base. The addition of freshly roasted Tasmanian Hazelnuts brings out a sweet nuttiness in the chocolate along with rich hazelnut flavours. It is gluten and dairy free as well as vegan friendly.

PNG Dark 74% Cacao (out of stock): The amazing single origin chocolate from the cacao fields of Papua New Guinea. The beans are dried over open fires giving the chocolate a touch of smoke and lingering to a creamy rich chocolate base. It is dark, rich and amazing. From the first taste you can feel the richness with a slightly bitter undertone but a smoothness that is outstanding.

PNG Cacao Nib 74% Dark (out of stock): Organic cacao nibs combined with chocolate created from the descendants of the original Criolla and Trinitario beans to create amazing depth of cocoa and chocolate flavours. It is gluten and dairy free as well as vegan friendly.

Australian Milk Bites: The 45% Cacao Milk Bites is made from beans grown in the rain forest region of Far North Queensland. It has a chocolate flavour like no other. It is rich, deep and uniquely Australian.

Orange Ginger in Dark chocolate: It is combined orange pieces and ginger to dark chocolate to give a special flavour sensation. In tasting this chocolate, you will think you are only sampling an orange block but as the chocolate melts over the tongue, the orange will begin to fade and the ginger remain. There is no magic tricks there, just flavour and real pieces of orange and ginger.

Salted Caramel Milk No Added Sugar: Starting with creamy milk chocolate, sea salt that has been harvested from some of the freshest waters in the world from the east coast of Tasmania is added and then a good dose of caramel to finish. It is a real treat and a decadent taste bud experience. It is gluten free and no added sugar.

Jasper & Myrtle

A small chocolate maker company based in Canberra, Australia. Created by Li Peng Monroe, the name was chosen because of its Australian origins. Jasper is a semi-precious stone found in Western Australia where she spent many years, while Myrtle is commonly found around Northern New South Wales where Peter, her partner and co-owner of Jasper and Myrtle, comes from. All of the company’s chocolates are handmade from cacao beans imported from Peru and Papua New Guinea. New beans are also being sourced from cacao growing regions such as Vietnam and Bougainville, PNG.

We have chosen the following from their collection:

Himalayan Rock Salt and Wakame Dark Chocolate (out of stock): Their most awarded chocolate to date – This is a unique chocolate with complex layers of flavours that has won a silver medal at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards. The judges described it as having “a nice combination of sweet sour vanilla and umami”. It has also won a silver medal at the 2017 Academy of Chocolate Awards and a Bronze medal at the 2017 International Chocolate Awards (Asia-Pacific division).

Macadamia and Lemon Myrtle Milk Chocolate: A truly Australian treat which combines the Queensland nut and native lemon myrtle resulting in a subtle, silky and fragrant chocolate. It has won a bronze at the 2016 Americas and Asia-Pacific region of the International Chocolate Awards and a bronze at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards.

Nunu Black Opal – Bougainville 80% Dark Chocolate (out of stock): This chocolate is made with cocoa beans sourced from gold medal winning cacao beans from the Nunu farm in North Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. It showcases the high quality of Bougainville cacao beans with richness and flavour reminiscent of a tropical paradise. With its unique taste, this chocolate won a Gold medal at the 2017 Academy of Chocolate in London.

Caffe Bianco (out of stock): White chocolate with strong coffee, just like a café latte in your chocolate block. Winner of two international medals – Silver at the 2017 Academy of Chocolate Awards in London and Bronze at the 2017 International Chocolate Awards (Asia-Pacific division) and one national medal – a silver at the 2017 Australian Food Awards.

Brandy and Orange in Dark Chocolate (out of stock): With zesty pieces of candied orange nestled in the luxurious 80% dark chocolate flavoured with brandy, this chocolate is a festive treat.

Spice Rum Dark Chocolate: Flavoured with fruit and spices soaked in Australian Bundaberg rum that lingers on your palate. It also ages beautifully. This is not your usual rum and raisin chocolate.
